The Megger DET2/3 automatic earth tester is robust, compact and designed to measure earth electrode resistance and earth resistivity. It offers a full range of test methods and features a four-terminal measurement method, which removes the resistance in the electrical circuit from the measurement. The DET2/3 is a reliable instrument for use on large or more complex earth systems, including communication-based earth systems and challenging test environments. It can be used for tests in accordance with BS 7430 (earthing), BS-EN-62305 (lightning protection), IEEE Standard 81 and within the railway segment. Earth resistance measurements are used to determine the optimum electrode design and location, as well as archaeological and geological surveys.
